PSALMS

 Lord, I am lost in silence and darkness.

Come show thyself to me as I wander in vain.

Out from the depths of my lingering fears,

I kneel in submission to your will.

 Father, take thy hand and grasp onto mine.

Guide my way with your steps

 as I look to you Lord to sustain my walk.

I commit my path to your will.

I follow your footprints through the shadows of death.

Lead me out of these depths and into

the light of your Son with just one word.

 Savior, enter my heart to stay.

I will sing your praises forevermore

along the way.

Show thy direction through your will

as I journey down this path.

Build up in me the wonderment

of your grace and love.

Guide my steps to better serve you

along the way.

Along this pilgrimage I will focus

my mind and heart upon your word.

Instill in me your abundant mercy,

truth and love.

I will forever echo thy name as I

 venture along the way.

Show thy way to patience and humble reverence.

Your time is not my time.

Your glorious plan is true and eternal.

I bow to your majestic rule.

 Lord, show thyself in my day.

I lament my past sins while I praise your forgiveness.

As day becomes night, I hide my face in shame.

I wait on your sovereignty as dawn breaks.

I know that thou art with me every moment.

Lord, peer into my diligent prayers with grace,

and into my shortcomings with mercy.

Your love reigns wider than the clouds on high.

Your love is more abundant than the stars above.

 My God, my Savior, guide my steps and grant me

the heart to be patient to your will all the rest of my days.

 Teach your ways to my impressive mind.

Show Thy truth in all that I write this day.

Grant me the wisdom to inspire my brothers and sisters

in their daily walk with you, Father.

Bestow upon your children the gifts you desire.

Impress upon our souls the many ways to bring

you the glory you so rightly deserve.

 Speak to us through your Holy word.

 Impart unto us the many gifts that are pre-determined.

Lord, you know our strengths and our weaknesses.

Mold us into the serving Christians you require us to be.

O God, I praise your name for my ability… to praise your name.

Send us your spiritual gifts, so we may teach others,

through our actions, your mighty acts of love and compassion.

     Some of the anonymously written Psalms have been attributed to David. A few of those were written while he was king. Some of the Psalms are referred to as: Messianic Psalms. These were written 1,000 years before the birth of Christ, but they have references to Christ contained in them. Trust is the main topic throughout the Psalms. Praise, Rejoice and Mercy are also echoed throughout them all. Jesus, himself, was a strong believer in the Psalms and even quoted them while he was in agony, nailed to the cross. He knew they were written about him

       In Hebrew, Psalm means Praise. 

  An individually printed volume of Psalms for use in Christian religious rituals is called a Psalter.

   We can all pen Psalms. It is a pouring out of one's heart.

They can give encouragement, hope and strength to enrich our lives; much like the Twenty-Third Psalm.

It is a praise for our Lord.

 Following are the Psalms that have been written by the author of this website.

 quench my thirsty soul.

All that I am is subject to you, my master.

 Many are the times that I have sinned.

Much is the time I have wasted with foolish

and selfish gains.

Out of the darkness so pitch, I come with my

 empty cistern full of quenchless waters.

Man-made pleasures, in time, end up

becoming man-made disappointments.

I come to you O God, a prodigal child,

 rich in earthly sins, yet poor in heavenly gain.

 I pour out of these empty cisterns, my every sin.

They spill onto your Hallowed ground.

I step back and then kneel at your gracious presence.

I ask for your blessed forgiveness most high.

 I pray you will fill me with your everlasting

and living waters that flow from you, Father.

 Restore my empty cistern unto fullness to conceal

 your wellspring of living waters.

 Lord, guide me that I may go out among your children

and share, with them, the grace and mercy that speaks of you.

Father, I humbly go forth praising your name

and exalting your word throughout the lands.

 Others will become quenched in the word as I,

 for they will become as one under your reign.

My cistern is now full and overflowing with praise.

 Look unto the Heavens while basking in the warmth of the Son.

Though trials and tribulations may leer at you through a shadow,

 your salvation and assurance is always guiding you homeward.

 Quench your thirst from the unending springs of life provided.

You will never again be parched from the ravages of iniquity.

Enfold your cares and worries in a sack cloth and toss them out.

For you have been sanctified in the house of the Lord forever.

Drink from the springs of life, for joy will be granted hereafter.

Am I worthy to partake thereof?

For I have not been faithful to you and your word.

 I beseech you Lord, to show Thy way.

Guide me to your side for I have been disobedient

 in thought, word and deed.

 Lead me to prayer O' gentle voice of love.

Show Thy way to repentance.

For thru repentance comes forgiveness,

 and thru forgiveness comes salvation.

 Only then may I seek Thy well.

 Only then may I be worthy to partake thereof.

My Lord raises me up from prayer.

His face shining like 10,000 moons.

As He summons me closer, He assures me

I have always been worthy since birth.

Worthy, for I am His child who

He has  loved, and will forever love.

Tears of love and gratitude swell

and overflow from mine eyes.

From my Lord's hand comes the cool,

comforting water of Thy well.

The warmth of reassurance cascades

down my face and garment.

 As I stand there, cooled by the comforting well,

my Lord reminds me to forever believe

in His Son and follow His way.

I know now Father, that I am worthy.

 Praise you My Lord,

 Praise you!

for it will deliver you from the

bondage of iniquity.

Gather it in like a nest of eggs.

Keep God's truth in your heart,

thus reminding you of His grace

which He imparts unselfishly.

Stand in the presence of the Lord,

and in time you will experience His sweet purity.

Notice the hues and shades

 in His created world.

Of fish and fowl and mammal alike,

His touch is felt and seen throughout.

With just one ripple, He started the sea.

With only earth's dust, He made man.

Now man feels dominion over all.

His pride is manifest in daily decisions

without regard to the creator

who first planted the seeds.

Man reforms creation to ease his ways.

Paths of destruction are building quickly.

Herein lies a fatality named earth.

Through tears of disappointment,

 He sees His creation

devastated by sinful means.

This earth is grace, from God.

Respect it for its beauty and majesty

as our Lord intended.

The Lord will judge the guilty for defilement.

Praise His works and cherish His creation, forever.

Be a constant example of God's love.

Provide a helping hand to a fellow human being in times of need.

Radiate God's presence in your actions.

Exemplify the heart of Christ to someone in distress.

Be for Christ.

Thou hast forgiven me my many sins.

Cleanse me in your righteousness through

the blood of your lamb.

You provide grace abundantly.

 I search my heart to find

 the prayers you so rightly require.

I thank you for the cool, refreshing

 waters of solace you grant me daily.

Tears of shame and neglect burn

 my cheeks as I draw weak to your side.

 I employ my fellowman to walk in the

 pathway of your desired wishes.

 Engage my feet to readily follow

you in your journey of love and mercy.

Make me aware daily of what you convey.

I have thrown aside many days

wasting them in foolish pride.

I come to you now with an eager ear.

Fill me with unceasing conviction.

Will I ever know thy heart, I pray?

Will I turn away when truth closes in?

For now I trust forever in your word

begging for mercy, I come to you, Lord.

Teach me thy way as I journey with you.

Looking up, I view love personified.

Looking down, I see unworthiness.

My reflection in His shed blood, at my feet.

 Knowing He would have it no other way,

I stand, transfixed with a tear-stained face

feeling blessed He loves me that much.

At His feet, I praise my Lord.

full of remorse, guilt and shame.

How I wish for the refreshment

of the cool blue water at the river's edge.

I seem to somehow disown you at times,

never wanting to follow you beside the stilled waters.

Now I see the toll of those decisions.

Why did I not draw closer to your side?

I do praise you and love you.

I am blessed you still want me.

All glory to you, God.

For the Lord will encompass us with his love and grace.

The saddest point that will ever occur will be when we walk

 away from God.

The happiest we will ever become is when we're walking

 beside our Lord throughout our life.

For his grace is immeasurable,

His forgiveness is infinite.

His love is forever.

Like the lion in winter, he will conquer our fears.

Like a lamb in mourning, he will peacefully weep.

Many are the Lord's mercies, but none are his compromises.

Trust in the Lord and believe in his son, Jesus Christ.

That is the path of everlasting life.

from his well.

His well that never runs dry.

I feel replenished and restored

as I plunge faith-first into his living waters.

Waters that are so cool, so blue, so cleansing,

waters that are everlasting and true,

waters so loving for me and for you.

and His righteousness is high among us.

Our sins are stretched fathoms below.

Our repentance is vital to ensure His forgiveness.

Unlike a desert that creates a longing for thirst,

our Lord reaches down within us to fill

our cup with His overflowing spirit.

We, who believe, will walk rightly in stride,

while those who scorn, reap meadows of woe.

My God and my Lord, I praise you on high.

I lift up your name, giving thanks for your merciful love.

Such darkness is assured as I sin against you.

I am without favor in your eyes,

yet you still forgive me and cleanse my soul completely.

Lord, when your darkness came, I was not yet alive,

but you still agonized and suffered on my behalf

to save me from sin.

What more should I ever ask from you?

What must I ask of myself?

To carry my cross and follow you is what I desire.

 I struggle to carry it high.

Appointed by your grace, I witness for you, Lord.

 For those three nails and the cross will not separate

your love from me.

I praise your name, Lord.

Remove all obstacles and make room

 for the Savior, then have Him enter your heart.

 If you love Jesus, spread that love to every

 wandering soul you encounter.

 Take time to reveal the Lord's wonderful story

and His love for all mankind.

Through Jesus, we must dutifully devote ourselves

 to His ministry of love.

 Evildoers lurk around every corner

consuming vices like a lion ravages his prey.

Account for unholiness on every path you cross

 on your journey to salvation.

The wicked socialize in the den of Satan.

The sinful lie in wait to veer the righteous away

 from the Lord.

 Let not the vile and impure divert our eyes

 from the Savior.

 Pray in earnest to our Lord for deliverance

 from this vast ocean of iniquity.

 Trust in the name of the Lord, our God,

through His son, Jesus Christ.

Remove doubts and inadequacies.

Rejoice in the revelry of His son, Jesus Christ.

Know you are forgiven. Know you are loved.

Enjoy our Lord, in joy.

He has made us rich while humbling Himself  poor.

He suffered at Calvary to set us free from sin, forever.

The Lord Jesus is our redeemer.

Enjoy Jesus, in joy.

He guides my thoughts while I guide my pen.

For I can do all when God is my strength.

No thought or vision is completely mine

that first does not flow from my Lord's word.

All praise to Him who gives me truth through

His guidance.

 my fellowman offers ungodly remedies for life.

 I shall waste not my times in godless means.

 Preserving integrity while pools of sin

 encircle my feet, I look to my God.

 While trying to maintain  my moral fortitude,

 I feel waves of inner strength from my Lord's

 merciful presence.

Like the roots of a redwood tree,

my foundation is cemented in the Lord, my God.

From there, I will resist sin and praise my Lord.

You were not alone for God was battling for you

each step of the way.

 He kept you safe near His heart while arrows and words

scorched your being.

Let not your faith be altered by life's misconceptions

 for therein rests God's abiding love and protection.

Recall the dulling feelings of utter remorse.

Recall the hopelessness you felt in past defeats.

 Now revive the sensations you felt with the inner

 flood of God's cleansing blood in your heart.

He has wiped away all your sadness and pain

and has restored your heart anew.

 Give praise to the Lord.

Guide their heart and their steps in future service to You.

Let them not falter toward their goal.

Through You, all is possible; in You, all is believable.

From this day forward, show thyself to them

 in works from your hand.

 Instill in their heart the course from which

they are to journey on from this place.

 For as one door closes, another beckons.

And with faith, they will walk through it.

Your guiding hand will ever be present

as they pass beyond these hallowed portals.

With fervent prayers, they will pick up their cross

 and follow in their quest to serve You more

 lovingly and faithfully, through Your Son, Jesus Christ.

 They, as your Disciples, love You, O Lord.

what would we view?

Rebellion and indifference,

arrogance and pride?

Love toward our Savior

should be of the utmost in our hearts.

Without Jesus as our guiding light,

our inward focus soon turns

to outward transgressions.

Supply us with an abundance

of your grace and mercy.

 Enlighten our path from within,

in order that we may better

serve you in our approach

to faithfully spreading your word.

 in thy ways of righteousness.

Offer truthful abundance in my weakest origin.

Still, I must repent as your wayward child.

I feel replenished in my soul and that creates,

in my heart, a new awareness of your glory.

Never will I understand thy ways, O Lord.

I bring forth praise and honor to Your throne of grace.

You set apart my wicked and deceitful ways

and cleanse me from guilt.

Never will I completely comprehend your grace,

O Lord. Blessed be our Lord.

I have ever made against you.

Work in my heart to restore my path unto glory.

My God is merciful. He endureth His wait in silence.

I know that thy path is right.

 I hand over my prideful ways to God

 and I shall waste not my time in idle ways.

For the Lord will not forsake me on the road less traveled.

 He will be a light in the darkness

and my ever-present shepherd as I journey onward.

Teach me to forgo items of material gain and focus solely

on your word.

 I waste time on things of the flesh and on objects that satisfy.

Show me Thy way to abundant fulfillment through your son,

 Jesus Christ.

Grant me the knowledge and grace to choose you, over

 and above, all earthly possessions.

 Lord, you teach through your word, that all material gain on

earth will soon pass away.

Guide me in the process of letting go of lost gain which can

always be replaced.

Impress upon my heart the unimportance of worldly gain

and show me how to release it all and hand it over to you.

You, Father, are the reason we possess earthly wealth.

Lord, all I have is yours.

I am merely a steward of it.

I trust it all unto your kingdom.

Will you answer His call?

His salvation is for the believing.

Allow Him to enter your heart.

Make Him the center of your life.

For Jesus will never leave the doorstep.

His patience is paragon.

His love is endless.

His mercy is enduring forever.

Do not forgo this opportunity for eternal life.

Take it now.

Give Jesus your heart. He gave you His.

Jesus will live through you

just as you will live through Him.

Answer His call now.

Grow like a tree planted by the waters

 from whence all abundant life flourishes.

Faith grows through belief

and belief through faith.

Even the lowly creatures will flourish through growth.

 Faith in our Lord helps sustain

our growth of which we daily employ

 in spreading the seed.

Taking our mind off the need

 and placing it onto the seed

 is well looked upon in God's kingdom.

Help others to grow in our Lord.

What harm has He wrought?

We have all but stripped bare

what God is to mankind.

With every injustice against the name of God,

 it weakens the foundation

upon which our faith is placed while

driving nails of doom into the Christian's coffin.

Why is our Lord held in such ridicule?

 How selfish have we been?

How arrogant have we been?

And how undeserving of His mercy

and forgiveness we have become.

But through all His pain,

God still loves us,

 Jesus died for our freedom from sin

on the cross.  How blessed we should be.

To God be the glory. Great things He still does.

Kneel in humble prayer before the Lord.

Speak unto Him with words of praise,

 raising heartfelt supplications in earnest.

 Unload all the grief and guilt that weighs

 down your heart and hand it over to the Lord.

 Ever loving and most compassionate is He

 that binds His children's cares into bushels of mercy.

Spreading them far and near to rain down upon

us is His most fervent wish.

With the promises of God in our hearts,

we then can turn sadness into joy forever.

With the assurance our loving Savior

 is waiting at the entrance, we know that

He will take us into the next realm.

With His Holy light beaming down

 to show Thy way,

 Jesus welcomes us into His Kingdom.

We will never be alone as we walk

through the gate,

for it is wide enough to two- -Jesus and you.

 Be not afraid of the light,

 for it shines so.

 We then will see the Lord's loving face

as He waits for our welcomed embrace.

Have we expressed gratitude to our Lord today?

Did we pray about someone else's concerns?

When will we ever stop thinking of ourselves first?

Are we mindful of God in our lives?

How do we show Jesus to our fellow man each day?

Will we ever give our lives over to Christ?

Has a tear ever fallen for a hurting soul?

Do we live by the Ten Commandments?

Have we expressed love to a friend in need,

or are we too indifferent to care?

Have we all trusted in the Lord to lead

 us in His path of righteousness?

Will we think about these questions today,

or will we wait until tomorrow ?

Today is the day, do you not think?

 Do we bless our fellow man as we are so blessed?

Is our hand such a lending hand?

Numbered are the days when our lot is up.

When we arrive in judgment,

will we present an empty increase?

 Sharing and giving not, reveals baron lives unto God.

Disciple, reach out as a giver of hope

and love as our Lord hast given to us.

For when we spread the seeds of love,

we shall reap abundantly through Christ.

Be thou a giver. God will bless many fold.

My debt is never due.

For my person was imputed by Jesus

 on that wooden oak cross.

 I was not yet bore,

but my sins were cleansed

by His holy, pure blood.

My integrity, pride and freedom

were bought and paid in full.

Bought by my Savior, Jesus.

My Lord doth cherish me

as a child in God.

 Never will He forsake me

as I spread His glory to all.

Like a river that flows by

day and by night, my devotion

to Jesus is forever unceasing.

Through sorrow comes joy.

Through God comes love.

And through death, believing

in Jesus, comes life.

Who knows God's power?

Who understands?

We search our minds for answers

 and our heart for truth.

 And what we do know is:

Through a broken spirit, God heals.

And through His grace, we live.

My fate is not subjected to change.

Sin has brought me to this hollowed spot

 and His forgiveness will cast me up

to the gates of Heaven.

 There, I will witness the paradise that is His.

Unknown in mortal life, it will become much clearer

as I step into His presence.

Until the time my calling is nigh,

I will serve the Lord, my God, in every respect,

 spreading His word and becoming His Disciple.

No worthier call there is, than to follow my Savior.

for your mighty fortress is my strength.

Inside your wings of mercy, I will hide.

My oppressors seek to destroy my will.

 Cast them aside with your mighty hand

and fortify my longing for your truth.

In your name's sake, will I prosper.

In your Holy presence, will I flourish.

Lord, provide to me

your ever-present Holy word.

 Shine onto me the radiance of thy grace.

 Never will I forsake you, Father.

For I know you will always dwell in my heart.

Knowing your truth, I will forever praise your name.

for you will reach the end alone, empty and void.

Nothing to hold to for strength and assurance,

never a rock to stand affirmed.

Turn not away from God for He will lead us

down the narrow path to righteousness.

Only follow His way to the glory of His name.

 Waste time no longer for His leading is now.

Our Lord beckons us to follow in His footsteps.

Follow in His footprints down the narrow path to salvation.

Dissect the troubles he bears.

Will we ease his burdens or compound his woes?

Are we not to relieve our brother's suffering?

We're placed on this earth to live for the Lord.

Our Lord unburdens our heart if we

simply pray and request it so.

Spending our lives reaching out to help

another in times of despair will, in time,

bless us bountifully.

As we do for our brother,

we also do for our Lord.

My foes neglect my soul

 for I worship you daily.

They walk in the path of folly.

As I cry out to you with supplications

and praises to your glory,

I shield my face from my evildoers.

Upon this rock on which I stand,

I view your brilliance with my eyes

and feel it in my soul.

I bless your name in all the earth.

Father above, render your grace

upon me, I pray.

His flocks day and night.

He always knows where

they are each moment.

 If one strays, He searches,

finds, then leads them back

 into His fold.

With staff in hand, He majestically

surveys the land for wrong-

doers who lurk in the shadows.

For He is the supreme protector

and guardian of our well-being.

Our shepherd never rests.

He never tires.

He is ever-present for His flock.

He is always there to carry

one who may stumble and fall.

Our shepherd is the Lord.

Praise to the Lord, our Shepherd.

Will it be apparent through our actions?

Take our life of sin and cleanse it with your blood.

Shape us solely to your ways.

Tend our hearts in a manner pleasing to you, Lord.

Mold our lives to fit your will.

Teach us to love you more through

dedicated prayer and supplication.

Allow your love and mercy to shine

in our daily walk with you.

When our hearts are low, raise them

in unison to sing your praises.

 Guide us to bring your message of love

to our fellow man who is hungry for your word.

Help us to ease their minds and soften

their hearts with your words of hope and assurance.

 The Living Word that uplifts and renews them, daily.

Lift up your sins unto God.

Ask Him for forgiveness.

Turn your life over to Him.

 Allow Him to use your life

 for His glorious purpose.

Be not afraid to trust in Him.

The creator of life offers us

 salvation once we have repented.

 Allow the Lord to create peace

in your heart, thus creating

peace in your life.

We all fall short of His glory.

 Through forgiveness, we

enter into a lasting relationship

with the Lord, through His grace.

 Hold them close to your heart.

Cast out my vanity and enfold me

with your righteousness.

Guide my feet on the path of humbleness.

Let not my pride take flight.

Show Thy true meaning of grace

while I extol your name on high.

Cast out Thy deceivers from this place

 as I draw closer to you in word and deed.

Grant me the serenity of a thousand nights

 for I wish to be obedient to you, O' Lord.

I know you will not leave my side.

Thou mighty grace is abundantly shed.

Shine Thy lamp at my feet as I

journey on the narrow path of truth.

 Lord, grant me the faith to follow you,

 the grace to look up to Thee,

and the serenity of your Holy Word.

Let not my words of praise be forsaken.

Open mine eyes to your truth

and cast not my words to the vain wind.
